Hiya,
I take Economics and I've just finished Year 12. While I did score quite highly in the mock exam, it's quite a difficult subject and took up the most time to revise compared to my other 2 subjects, Politics and Sociology.
To score highly, it's ALL about understanding in my opinion. If you crack a concept and fully understand it, it's difficult to forget. Also, exam technique is key to scoring high.
Resources:
•
EconPlusDal on YouTube. He provides short (>10 mins) videos explaining concepts and has a playlist full of Econ tutor videos.
•
Textbook. Personally I use the one from CGP and James Powell.
•
Reading in general. Reading the news, especially the financial times, is helpful for macro especially.
•
MIT OpenCourseWare. They have a bunch of lectures, while not for the A-level course, explaining introductory concepts for both macro and micro. The lecturers are brilliant at creating an engaging lesson.
