Any tips for going into yr13?

Hey, this is my summer before I go into yr13, does anyone have any tips for things like revision or uni-related stuff that happens in yr13 or just staying on top of all of the work that I need to do? I do media studies and English Literature both are AQA, and I do WJEC's criminology.

Hi, I'm not doing media studies or English but the best tip that I can give is start early in terms of revision, like do flashcards, blurting etc and don't start your assignments last minute.

Year 13 can be tough but you’ve got this. My advice: start revision early, don’t leave everything last minute. Break your work into small chunks so it’s less overwhelming. For uni stuff, try to get your personal statement started early and ask teachers for help.

Hi there,

As I did very different A-Levels, I will keep my comments as generic but still valuable.

Regardless of the A-Levels you choose, going over year 12 content and ensuring you understand everything is key because year 13 will build upon any existing knowledge you have. Additionally, start everything early! The earlier you start, the less you will cram and you will have time to relax and socialize.

similarly, for anything uni related, start early. Whether its crafting a personal statement draft, sending off an application etc, the earlier you start the better. Also, engage with your subject heads who can help you with creating high quality applications.
