Student loan after working holiday visa

I’d like to apply for a student loan for an allied health post grad course (it would be my second degree). I am currently living in Australia on a working holiday visa (past two years) but returning before the potential course starts - would I be able to get the student loan?

Hi there,

Time spent abroad is fine so long as it's temporary.

So, when you apply we'll ask you to provide proof, and it sounds like you'll have this. Does your visa clearly show that it's of a temporary nature? Do you have any other proof at all?

Thanks, Graeme

Thanks for your reply Graeme. I would have copies of my work holiday visa which I’ve had two of (one year each one) and temporary/casual work contracts.

Is it possible to apply for student finance when still out of the country? Thank you!

Hi there. Yes, you can apply via your online student finance account. Your temporary break evidence can be uploaded to your online account once you submit the applicaiton. Thanks, Leah.
