IR with no languages

Hello i am looking to applyto politics and IR undergraduate courses this year, and i’m unsure if i should just do politics on its own or with a joint honours with IR.
This is because i only speak English, is not being fluent in any other languages going to make it difficult to stand our from others (in the IR aspect)
i am looking to apply to a top uni so i’m unsure if this will make my application less competitive.
my predicted grades are A*A*A - A*AA (my teachers are yet to confirm)

IR is actually 'International Politics' so it doesn't actually matter if the course is 'with Politics' or not, you will still be studying Politics. It a social science degree not a language course, and therefore a language A level will not be required or even preferred.

Suggested reading - and you will be able to get most of this through your local public library (ask the librarians for help) so you don't need to buy any pf them - Suggested Reading List - International Relations.pdf
