Hi! I’m doing politics and international relations at a Russell group, there’s not really much volunteering that you can do for it but universities understand that so it shouldn’t impact you!

For my personal statement I spoke briefly about some different international situations that I found interesting (i.e. Paris agreement, some smaller wars etc) then I supported all of this by mentioning different books I’d read & podcasts i’d listened too

For the books I recommend finding some audiobooks on spotify as thats pretty quick and easy, just make a few notes as you go along!

I also briefly mentioned how some of my a level subjects linked to the degree (e.g I did sociology so I talked about how sociology studies people and their interactions in a wider societal context and then explained how this linked to politics & international relations)
