LAET - Travelling to school during game days

Hi Everyone,
Would like to understand how do you travel to LAET during game or concert days? Heard that the bus stops will be closed on those days.
How frequent would there be disruptions?

How difficult it will be if I have to travel 40 minutes everyday?

Is it advisable to move closer to the school or will I be able to manage travelling everyday?

Thanks,
Radhika

hi i live quite close to laet and on game days you can still manage travelling everyday depending on what bus you'll take. if ur taking the buses ending in 9 towards edmonton then you will get there fine, they will just stop outside the sainsburys next to laet nd then turn towards edmonton from there. You probably wont have to move closer and once you get there you will realise the journey on game days isnt too bad, and also the matchs normally start at like 7 anyways so the diversions shouldnt be too bad. But then it depends what buses your taking. If you dont mind could you say what area your coming from or what bus you will be taking.

Thank you for the reply. I will be coming via Ally Pally and will be using W3 to reach there.

Oh then you will probably be fine as the W3 will just turn into Great Cambridge Road onto the motorway and then turns into the high road where edmonton is, you will still be able to get to the same bus stop which i'm assuming is tottenham high road opposite the sainburys. Normally the diversion starts in the afternoon but if it is in the morning then you should probably leave a few minutes earlier bc a lot of buses go down that high road and they can sometimes quite slow.

You will still be able to use the same bus stop but there will probably be more traffic in the afternoon towards around 5 ish bc thats when most of the people start arriving and the roads get kinds of packed.

I believe then around the evening when we finish school, there will be some traffic.
How frequent would there be the disruptions?

As a girl, how safe will it be to move around in that area during that time? I have heard that the fans could go bonkers.

The matches mostly happen on the weekends but sometimes they are on the weekdays but this is usually every other month or so. If u want to see exactly when then u can check the tottenham stadium website and scroll down until you find the events calendar and it will show you exactly when there are matches or concerts.

I have been outside during match days and the streets are very packed, like the pavement is very swarmed with people who walk relatively fast as well so you really do need to be aware of the surroundings and everything else. I don't want to say that its safe bc yk anything can happen but the fans aren't as rude or bonkers, for example a few people have bumped into me sometimes but they do apologise and move on. The only thing that is quite unsafe is all the fans drinking alcohol and so their behaviour might be a bit unpredictable. All i can say is keep to yourself and be on your way home and it should be fine and there are always like 10-11 police vans outside and lots of officers especially near the stadium that are making sure nothing goes out of hand anyway.

Also apart from matches there might be road closures for other stuff like accidents but those are the only disruptions that can happen i think.

Thank you again.

And about moving closer to the school, what would be good places to move in?
