Is there a time or day you have to accept a firm or insurance offer by on results day

Just wondering when you find out whether you’ve been accepted by firm or insurance on results day, is there a deadline where you have to accept or decline the offer by before the offer goes away?

Maybe this will help you? Otherwise go to the Applications, Clearing and UCAS on here and there'll be something somewhere to help you I'm sure.

Other than that you'll know about your application at 8am at the very earliest.

The offer on ICAS will still be accepted automatically. The unis will send you an enrolment invitation which will need to be completed by a certain date ahead of the course start.

There will be no button to accept, it's an automatic process. So if you get into your firm, your insurance disappears and as far as UCAS is concerned you are going to your firm. This was the point of firmly accepting their offer in the first place. You will see a button called "decline my place" which will allow you to decline the offer that had been confirmed by the uni, this would place you straight into clearing from where you can pick up any available vacancies at other universities. Your can't get your insurance offer back though.

Its automatic. When you open UCAS at 8am on Thursday, you will see 'UF' against your Firm choice, or by default your Insurance, or 'Eligible for Clearing' if neither of them want to accept you. If you see UF, that's it, you are in. You then don't have to do anything else until they email you about enrolment etc.
