What happens if you submit a reassessment late?

Does the 24 hour penalty still apply to coursework reassessments if they're submitted late (but within 24 hours) or is it an automatic fail?
This will be dependent on your university and departmental policies. You'll need to check as what is the case at one uni may not be the case at your uni.

That said I don't think it would be unrealistic for them to make it an automatic fail given it's a reassessment, unless you applied for mitigating circumstances in advance.

The university is KCL and I've struggled to find any information about this in their course/module handbook. But you're unable to apply for mitigating circumstances for a coursework reassessment.

You really need to be directing these questions to your personal tutor/department tutor if it's unclear from the handbook I think - they will be based placed to understand that.

Of course ideally, you should avoid the situation in the first place...if it's not come to that yet I would focus on getting it done before the deadline. Remember "finished" is better than "perfect"...
