Art A-Level

I'm starting in September and over the summer I've been asked to create a concept mood board for a topic that interests me. They've given me a list of examples of some and either I don't like them or don't know what to do for them. Can someone help for some topics to do please?

A different hobby (a sport, or something like gardening/reading/etc), an interest or collection (if you love dogs/planes/cars... or something more niche!) or if you're looking for something more open-ended - maybe a favourite season or location (a country you're interested in/have visited/want to visit, or something more specific i.e. a national park, botanical garden, museum). You could even do a music genre (with modern and historical photos from a genre or subculture) if that's your thing.

Best of luck!

I am assuming this is relating to the personal project you'll have to do, I would pick something very open which allows you to do a range of different things, similar to the GCSE topics they give you. Example: Power, journeys, time
You don't need to like something to be able to respond to it. You can pick something you don't like and build around that, developing a response in reaction to it that reflects what you don't like about it and why.

Alternatively you can pick one of the things you don't know what to do with and approach it as a blank slate. Begin categorising relevant material, artists, background information, and use that to build this up.

In my experience art is often about responding to something you disagree with, or exploring the unknown. It's seldom about doing the familiar thing you already know you like...!
