cambridge med intercalation options

Hi, I was looking at some threads from a few years ago where medics intercalated in a bunch of different stuff like law and engineering in addition to the more usual natsci/pbs. Since those posts were from 4 years ago and it already said that it was not as common as it used to be, I wanted to ask if anyone has done something like that recently? I really like the idea of doing law in year 3! Also, when you get your degree do you get BA in whatever you intercalated in?

I didn't do Medicine but I just graduated (2025) and a bunch of my friends did Medicine and intercalated so I can go off of what they said in case you don't get any medic responses.

Generally at Cambridge you can intercalate in pretty much whatever you want. I think you need special permission to intercalate in Maths and I have a feeling Law is a two-year intercalation (though I'd get some medics to confirm). I've had friends intercalate in Linguistics, Philosophy, etc. Most of them still do intercalate in a subject close to Medicine (usually a Bio NatSci option).

Yes, you get the BA in the subject you intercalated in.
