University of Manchester clearing for chemical engineering

I applied for a foundation year in chemical engineering at the University of Manchester and was accepted; however, I am expected to achieve higher results for A-Levels than my predicted grades. Will I be able to transfer to the first year instead of doing the foundation year?

This is a conversation you should have with the university when you know your grades for certain :yep:

There's no right to do a course other than what you've applied and been given an offer for, but it you meet the grade requirements for the regular course then common sense would suggest you could probably swap to it, but it's one to discuss with the uni as only they can answer that.

Do let us know how you got on today and if you need some advice still!

I wouldn't advise you to contact the clearing hotline if you can contact them another way – you shouldn't need to apply through clearing if it's to the same university. If they're happy for you to transfer onto year 1 then it'd be through an internal process.

Chemical engineering is not listed in their clearing list thus there is no clearing line for the course.
