Is it possible to switch course after foundation year?

Hi, so I applied to computer science at MMU and got an offer on results day of electronical engineering with foundation year. I was a bit disappointed but i took the offer as I wanted to study as this uni - and asked on clearing if I could switch but they wouldn't let me. Is it possible to switch to computer science after doing a foundation year in electrical engineering, especially if some of the modules are related?
I would ask the university to see if that is possible as @Kingston Sarah has just mentioned.

HI,

Typically, you can request to change your linked degree after you have done the foundation year. However, there is no guarantee you will be able to change as this is dependant on your modules and possibly your previous study. It would be something that you would need to discuss with your tutor and do an internal transfer. There wouldn't be any guarantee that you would be able to do this.

Hope this helps a little!

Carly 🙂
