i cant get into dentistry despitetaking a gap year and getting good stats

my stats:
999999999
A*A*A
3110 Band 1
A* EPQ

I took a gap year because my first ucat wasnt good (2600 B1) this year i got 3110 band 1 and reapplied. i applied to manchester leeds sheffield and liverpool. liverpool rejected me before the interview i dont know why. the others i got an interview and i thought the interview went well but clearly not becuase i got waitinglisted at all three. today (results day) I called up all the universities up and they said they arent using their waitinglist at all this year. so now i have no unis to go to again... and it looks like i have to take a second gap year. why is it this difficult to get in anywhere, im confused. does anyone have any advice at all for my second gap year?

Okay, this is a really difficult position to be in. :frown:
My immediate thoughts are - there's no guarantee that the second gap year will be different to the first. Every year will be competitive, and every year will bring different challenges.
You could do a second gap year, or you could think about a world where you aren't studying dentistry yet?
Your grades are excellent so you kind of have the pick of anything else you would like to choose from if you really wanted to go to university this September. Graduate entry dentistry is available (but also competitive).

So my question to start with would be - if you were to not do Dentistry, what would you be doing instead?

Your stats are amazing. Did you get feedback from your interviews? Do you consider doing another course by going through clearing?

Sorry to hear this. Any feedback from interviews? If dentistry THE ONLY career want, will u you consider doing dentistry elsewhere that is cheaper / equivalent-ish to UK?
The supply of places for (subsidised) dentistry have always been super limited due to costs (tax payers etc) versus higher demand.

Hi,

I cannot believe you have not been able to secure a place with such “outstanding” results!
Have you requested feedback from the 3 unis that interviewed you?
Have you done work experience for 2+ weeks?
Long term committment to work eg charity shop/part time job
Record yourself answering questions and then watch them back
