Birmingham or Bath?

I've met my firm offer for Comp sci at Birmingham, and got a clearance offer for Comp sci and AI at Bath too. I'm genuinely confused on which one to pick at the moment since both seem like good options. Birmingham seems like the more social option, being in a larger city with more people studying there, whilst Bath seems better for job prospects. Both unis basically have the same rankings for comp sci with Birmingham being slighty better this yr whilst Bath has a focus on AI which could lead to better job prospects. Both unis cancel each other out in difference categories making it essentially 50/50 for me.

Any help to help me decide which course to do?

Hi @Tazan01 👋 I would recommend you attend an open event at both universities to check out the vibes and to see where you feel most comfortable undertaking your studies.

University lasts a few years of your life, and so it's important to feel at home in an environment where you will feel supported.

I wish you the very best of luck with your studies.

Ultimately you are going to do better wherever you enjoy your time and the course more. Both of those universities will have strong job prospects and run similar modules. Perhaps look at their socials and see where you would feel more at home? Both are great choices and I liked them when I went to their open days. Like suggested if you can get to any events/clearing days that may help you decide.

Hope this helps,

Have you looked at course content?

Also just out of curiosity, what was the Bath clearing offer?
