Strathclyde requirements

hey!!
I've been looking at course options over the summer and my top choice so far is Strathclyde chemical engineering.
the standard entry requirement is AAAB (Maths A and Chemistry B)
however in my Highers this year i got AABBB (Math A , Chemistry B)
my question is - do the standard entry requirements have to be met by the end of s5? or do the higher I'm taking in s6 also apply to this?
I'm sure with the Highers' I'm taking this year ( physics, economics, history ) I could achieve AAB or maybe even AAA.

is there a chance i will be considered for a conditional offer still, considering my s5 grades?
thanks :smile:

If the course page doesn't specify by the end of S5 then I would assume it doesn't need to be by the end of S5
@University of Strathclyde, what do you think?

Hiya! (:

first off, congrats on your highers from this year sounds like you did really well! 😊

Yep, we usually accept highers achieved in S6 for your standard entry requirements, and an offer would be made on the basis of achieving these in S6, when this isnt the case it usually states on our website grade requirements for 1st sitting and then underneath the grade requirements for the 2nd sitting (: - all offers are made on a basis of potential to succeed on the course so a range of info is taken into account; your current grades, UCAS personal statement, any personal circumstances etc!

if your wanting to your able send an email or phone the admissions for the engineering courses, they will be able to confirm that based on grades a conditional could be offered (: - this would not be an official offer, just would clarify how your grades would be treated! ;

Hope this helps, if you've got any other questions let me know and im happy to have a wee chat! 🤗
