Brunel uni

Guys i might go to brunel through clearing for mech eng with placement. How is the uni like cos the rankings are mid and i havent seen much great things.

Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about Brunel as we are based in North Wales.

I would recommend, however, not just relying on looking at rankings, there's lots of other things you should consider - i.e what do other students/student reviews say? what's the location/local area like? what's campus like? what do they offer in terms of support - strong student support network and careers support?, what clubs and societies do they offer (if these are important to you?)

The most important thing that you should consider is the course modules - do the modules align with what you want to study and your goals?

If you're not sure about the university, I'd consider making a note of other universities that interest you. It's important to not make any rash decisions and to think through all of your options.
