Unfortunately I missed my medicine offer, needed A*AA but achieved AAA. Ive seen people have been accepted with AAA (non-contextual and similar UCAT scores, some lower), which I think is rather unfair. I have been rejected on UCAS and was wondering if anyone had any advice to give. I've also gone through clearing but KCL is much more convenient as its only 20 mins away from me. Has anyone been in a similar position?

Have you spoken to your school about how close you were on grade boundaries between one of your As and an A*? :holmes:

Unfortunately, it's very unlikely they will reconsider right now. They will have thoroughly considered your application before rejecting.

One option could be to take a gap year and reapply if you're set on KCL. Do you have any other medicine offers?

Please don't give up :console:

I was 7 marks off an A* in maths, considering there were 3 seperate papers, they did suggest having it reviewed...

I do have a biomed offer

If you're determined to do Medicine, I would exhaust other options like taking a gap year and reapplying before considering another course and potentially applying for graduate entry medicine (this is a lot more competitive than the undergraduate entry)

If you have the money there isn't much to lose I would say. Be prepared that it can go up or down - and lots of reviews come back with no grade change. So emotionally they can lead to a lot of false hope. But practically there isn't much to lose.

Get copies of the papers back for free first - 7 marks is unlikely in maths.
