How many people share a kitchen (Constantine, ensuite)?

Hi all,

I've been offered an ensuite room in Constantine (which I literally cannot afford at all, but can't change it) and I was wondering how many people share a kitchen? It says on the website that it's up to 12, and I will not be able to live there if I'm sharing with 12 people - especially for the price.

Congratulations on your place at York! I'm sorry that you're not happy with the room you've been given, that's really frustrating. One option you could look into is swapping your room once you're here. I'd recommend calling our accommodation team on +44 (0)1904 322165, if you haven't already, to discuss your options.

As for how many people share a kitchen in Constantine, it will depend on which block you are in, which you'll find out closer to Arrivals Weekend. If you do share with 12 people, the kitchen will be large enough and well set up to accommodate that number of students, with extra cooking equipment and storage. It's also unlikely that all 12 students would be cooking at any one time as you will all have different schedules and social commitments, so if you do find yourself in a kitchen shared between 12 people, it will be okay.
