A level Bio Remark

Been consistently hitting A* for all of A level bio, got a B (12 marks off an A). Was wondering if it'd be worth the remark since I've been through with the revision guide and found 15 marks in 2 papers that are arguably valid.

The mark scheme is what they look at, not a revision guide, unfortunately. I know, it's annoying.

Have you asked your school if you can see a copy of your script? What do they think?

And have you got a university place?

Hey @grammar_!

Have a chat with your A-Level Biology teacher if possible. Unfortunately, unless your paper has been mixed up or there has been a serious error in the marking process, it's unlikely a remark will improve your score by twelve marks. In my experience, remarks are typically only recommended by teachers when a mark is very close to the upper boundary (one or two marks off) or when they suspect something has gone wrong with the marking process itself.

As mentioned above, you could always request a copy of your script to see what has happened, and hopefully you have still met the conditions of any university offer you had.

Hope this helps,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

Hi there!

Have a chat with your biology teachers, and see if they agree with those 15 marks you have found. If they agree, it might be worth a shot, but if you've already got into your firm, your A-Level grades won't really matter once you've got a degree anyway! Employers typically look at your highest level of education, so they'd look at your degree not A-Level Grades
