first blog (hope this fits)

hii. i'm paolo. born italian, only ever spoke italian at home so my only exposure to english was through media and school. i took gcses in june 2025 (plus 2 9s in
maths and further maths in june 2024) and am currently waiting on results. i started studying in april 2025; had never done so before then for any subject (unless you count coursework), and never even listened to teachers until january 2025. i took trip sci, comp sci, spanish, eng lit+lang, music and ocr fsmq this year. waiting on results, hoping for all 8/9 except fsmq bc it only goes up to a but i'm really nervous because i want to get into cambridge and like what if i failed everything? i've been trying to get into better study habits ever since i realised that what i did was nowhere near enough, and i'm currently studying chapter 9 of year 1 core pure further maths, have finished a level maths (got 94% in 2023 series past paper) but i'm nervous i'm still not doing enough for my other 2 a levels (plus the one i'm not taking but will be unseriously studying; chemistry). idk what i want out of this post. i think i just want to have it down somewhere. ty for reading ig

Salve Paolo!

I wish you all the best for your GCSE results. You'll be absolutely fine.

'Unseriously studying chemistry' is the best way to study chemistry in my opinion.

I fumbled the date pretty badly. I met a girl at my new school who I thought I liked more so I told the other one I just want to be friends and cancelled the date and later realised me and new girl are incompatible so... bad choice on my part and I made things worse for everyone involved but at least I'll learn from it. Getting on great with school as said in other message.
Sorry to hear that :frown: but so glad to hear things are going well at school as you mentioned in your other blog!
