Aston

Hi. I applied to Aston through clearing to study quantity surveying, however I’ve seen it says placement year is compulsory. So does this mean that i am 100% guaranteed a placement year, if I’m not what would happen if I didn’t manage to secure a placement year?

Hello, it depends if your placement year is compulsory. I am not sure about Quantity Surveying but I know for some courses if you are unable to secure a placement year they allow you to proceed into third year. For my course at Aston, a placement year was compulsory and we had to search for one with the help of Aston. For those who were unable to secure one, Aston offered them a placement year working at the university.
