Help! Advice for someone about to study an Access to HE Science (Online)

Hi! I've just been accepted onto my Access Course for Science online with modules in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology with the hopes of attending uni next year to study Psychology, with ideas about where I'd like to head with my career and 1/3 of a previous degree. I'm 26, have quit my full time dead end career (which I was wasting my life away in) and decided to move in a different direction. Now I've taken the first big step to doing this, I'm mildly bricking it...

Any advice for someone that's been out of education for a while? What was it like to study? How much time did you spend on average a week studying? Were you also working at the time? Anything about your experience while on an Access course online would be greatly appreciated!

I was working full time and did a mostly online Access to HE course. I also have a previous degree from longer ago than yours.

The work can be full-on but if you manage your time well, you shouldn't get overwhelmed.

From my experience and what others have said, it seems normal practice for Access courses to start you off with 'ungraded' modules first - there are assessments but they're pass or fail, rather than pass/merit/distinction. This lets everyone ease into the studying and assessments with less pressure so you can figure out what works for you.

Just take deep breaths and go one step at a time. You've got this
