Wondering about mech engineering at Manchester met uni

I got accepted a place originally at UoM for aerospace engineering which was A*AA and I was predicted a A*AB. However I completely bombed my alevels and got a CDD (getting remarked) and a A* in EPQ. MMU said they would be able to offer me a place in mechanical engineering and I wanted to know if it would be worth it.

Hi, what was the outcome? Did you do any further research and accept a place there? Hope you got on a course you'll love in a place you'll love. Manchester is a great city

Hi @natalie_m2612

If you'd like any information about our BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering course at Manchester Met, you can find some on the course webpage and you're welcome to contact our Course Enquiries team on 0161 247 6969. Hopefully if you've got a place through Clearing you're booked onto one of our Clearing Visit Days where you can attend a subject taster session and meet with the academics and current Mechanical Engineering students. A great way to get a feel for the course. If you've not had an invite to book on, you can get in touch with the Visit Day team at [email protected].

Hope this helps.
Mel 😊
