thoughts on a holiday in the Easter holidays of y13

My family are talking about visiting Australia for 2 weeks over Easter in 2026, I would get back with 5 weeks until my first A level. Ive never been to a destination like this before and it seems like a once in a lifetime opportunity to go there and see my close family. What are peoples thoughts on missing the entirety of Easter (with regards to revision)? I need AAB to go to Reading Uni and I’m predicted A*AA based on my y12 mocks where I did very little revision in Geography and Business (A and A*) and revision little and often for Maths in the weeks leading up to mocks (A predicted). I feel like I revise very last minute so not sure how productive id be in Easter anyway… could I do little and often before it and do a little bit on the holiday then come back and work hard for 5 weeks until my first exam? All papers are fairly spread out so I have time between to revise too, but I do also really want to go to Reading and AAB will require me to put in a fair amount of effort. If I dont get in ill forever question wether the not going on the holiday wouldve prevented this.

Please help!!!

What is wrong with your family? Can't they go at a different time that is not so important to your future?

My mum gets a redundancy package at that time so the money is there and also she is insistent that the weather will be best that time of year. Neither of my parents were very studious so i guess they dont see the importance or value

I would absolutely not go. You’re risking your future when you could wait a few months, finish A levels fully focused and go anytime after !!!!
