Where does cambridge stand with resits

hi guys, I need some advice. I just got my results today and I got A* A D. I was a Cambridge applicant and I was put on the summer reconsideration pool because I applied to the smallest college and I was also put on the wider consideration pool however due to my architecture course being so overbooked there was no vacancies.

I obviously, I’m not happy with the D that I got and I’m thinking about resetting my English literature A-level because it is not evident of my grades and this can be seen in my AS exam in which I got a B and I was one mark of an A and in my NEA in which I was three or four marks away from full marks. As well as my predicted grade being an A.

Since I am thinking about doing architecture, I was wondering whether I should just do a foundation year and also reapply to Cambridge to try to get in. Or whether it would just be better for me to stick to the university that I did get into even though I am not the biggest fan of it is still in the top 10 universities for Architecture. I am just not the biggest fan of the location.

Doesn’t like them, at all. Acceptable if you completely change subjects, but you can’t usually just resit and apply again. There’s a very small chance if you are WP and manage to do something else epic in the gap year and improve your portfolio etc, but your best bet is to adapt to wherever the duff environment is.
