Dental or med universities that dont weigh interviews as much

Im taking a second gap year since I havent gotten into dentistry despite having high stats (A*A*A achieved, 3110 B1, 999999999) i believe this is because i wasnt good enough at the interview stage and since most universities seem to only look at interview performance after the interview stage and not any of my stats anymore. for context i was put on 3 waitinglists and my interviews based on feedback i recieved weren’t terrible just not ‘good enough’.

This gap year Im going to try to apply to medicine aswell to increase my chances as medicine is usually easier to get into than dentistry and I will try my best to improve at interview but I want to apply strategically. I havent done my ucat yet but assuming I do well in it again, what would be some universities if any that have a high success rate after interview or dont weigh interviews performance as high as most unis seem to. Thanks

Woah woah woah, let's rewind:
- You either want to study medicine, or you want to study dentistry
- You're either wanting to be a dentist, or a doctor
- Nobody will want to walk into a hospital, ask you why you wanted you to be a doctor and you say "it was easier to get into than dentistry"

Yes apply strategically to whatever unis, that's a must with medicine or dentistry. But you need to choose a course first and foremost, and with a better reason than that one. ^ You have to want it, and if you're worried about interview performance then I would suggest a medicine interview performance isn't going to be fantastic if you are only doing it because you think it's easier than dentistry.

Hi there. Really sorry to hear about your unlucky experiences. Did you apply to QMUL? I believe they consider a combination of UCAT+Interview score to make offer decision. With your amazingly high UCAT score, it should have evened out any below-average interview score you may have had.
