Applying through clearing HELP

I've applied to a uni through clearing and got an email acceptance and now they want me to apply to them through UCAS. I'm a bit worried because I'm still waiting to hear back from my preferred uni (I need to do an interview so the process might take a while) and I've got no idea if I'll be able to reject the initial clearing offer on UCAS after I accept it.

Yes. After u add the course to ur UCAS as a clearing option and the uni accepts you can still decline this place as that is what shows up on my ucas application. I’m guessing once u decline that u can then add ur preferred uni if u get the place. I’d say add the clearing place soon as even if it is j a backup u don’t want the places on the course to all be taken if u take too long.
