Failing first year of uni with ECs??

I am in my first year of university and had missed my summer exams due to personal reasons. I submitted ECs for this which were accepted and my exams got pushed to August. However, I still feel unprepared for them and am likely to fail as the situation hasn’t gotten any better. Has anyone been in this situation before and what were the outcomes? I really don’t want to resit the year because i already feel so far behind and feel like it would make me more overwhelmed.

I would contact your academic advisor ASAP, as well as the people in charge of your course. If you don't pass, then you will likely have to resit first year and as you are already behind this may be the best option for you. I hope this helps.

Unis will be accommodating but most likely you will be asked to resit the year since the next set of exams for all the modules will be at the end of each Semester. You cannot enter year 2 unless and until you pass year 1
