Results day

I am dreading results day on Thursday. I don't know why, I think I've done well enough to get into 6th form in where I wanted to go, but somehow as it gets closer, I keep gaslighting myself into thinking "what if you somehow messed up everywhere exam?"
I keep reminding myself of questions I know I got wrong or some stupid thing I missed or something bad I wrote, and I can't stop worrying. Any help?

It’s so hard to stay calm when something as big as results day is incoming (I just had my A level results and oh my gosh the days leading up my brain was running through absolutely everything I could’ve/should’ve done differently!) BUT there is truly nothing you can do right this second to change whatever is in that envelope.

When someone first said that to me it freaked me out, but the more you sit with the idea you realise that all the energy you put into worrying about it right now is completely wasted. GCSE summer is pretty great for the most part, you’ve just sat 16+ exams of a whole 2 years of school and now… nothing! This is some of the best time to sit and relax before the next big stage of your journey, find time to do something you love to take your mind off of it, play games, sports, read, find a new hobby and SLEEP ! Big emphasis on sleeping.

I remember how scared I was this time 2 years ago, so I really do sympathise but come December you will wish you could go back to this point.

The 6th form concern is completely valid, I’m sure you have done better than you think, but maybe get their phone number alongside any other colleges or sixth forms you may be interested ready for the day. Hopefully you won’t have to use them but that’s the most you can do at the minute as productive prep. Also I wrote some utterly stupid things in my GCSE exams but it all still went pretty well! You remember what went wrong far more than what went right. (I can still remember some of the stuff I wrote in GCSE biology lol.)

I am wishing you all the luck in the world for Thursday, you’ve got this. Make sure to enjoy this time as much as possible, even though it’s hard.
