Hate my parents

Our house is a mess, there are mice as well, I have been telling my parents for years to get exterminators and they said we need to clean the house but my **** of a dad doesn’t let us throw nothing. I went away for uni come back and the mice have gone into my cupboard and ruined my clothes even made holes in my favorite cot which I bought years ago from Zara and you can’t buy anymore.

What do I do, when I screamed and told them they told me I’m just staressing them out but my clothes are ruined.

How old are you? Can you call social services for advice?

I’m 25, I’m doing my masters and moved out. After that I really can’t afford to move out at all, like no one will give me a place. I’m trying to find a HCA job so I can move into accommodation in the hospital.

Traps - humane and otherwise, poison, and repellents are available inexpensively on Amazon. For humane traps you will also need bait - a jar of peanut butter or some chocolate. You could most likely completely remedy the mouse problem yourself and require no input from them other than permission to place traps in communal areas. If permission is not forthcoming just put traps and repellents in your own space. If you won’t be at home to check the traps, use poison but make sure inaccessible to pets and children. As for the mess - pathological hoarding behaviour is difficult to address but the problem could just be a lack of time or motivation to get rid of stuff, or problems with executive functioning or mental health which make it overwhelming. Can you hire a van and take stuff away for disposal yourself? If you are 25 and dependent on your parents for a place to live I would gently suggest that you either accept their standards with a degree of grace, or come at the problem as an adult with equal responsibility for tackling home maintenance.
Traps will catch one or two but ultimately you will still be overrun with mice - get strong poison.
