I am a post-graduate taught applicant of University of Essex October 2025 intake. I would like to know about part-time job opportunities for students there. Also I would appreciate any trick or tips to balance work-study life as a post-graduate student.
Additionally, I am quite expert in building desktop computers. Is it possible to land a part-time job in the tech markets as a PC technician inside Colchester?

Of course, i can help you with that ☺️ There are plenty of on campus jobs such as student union roles of bar staff, shop staff, cafe staff, events assistants, food assistants and even admin jobs and they are all flexible too 😁
We also have student ambassador roles that require helping with campus tours, open days and welcoming current and new students! Library and IT support assistants may also be available later on. There may be graduate lab or research assistant as well as essex inter roles in your subject department which will be advertised to you by your department later on 🙂
In Colchester, there are also plenty of off campus jobs such as in retail, restaurants, bars, cafes ans also tutoring could be an option as well so there are plenty of options. On campus jobs are advertised on student union jobs page and on careerhub as well 💻
That's great and yes it could be possible to get a job in the tech market. When you arrive on campus, I recommend you to ask around some places and talk to your department and tutor as well as they may have some answers for you ☺️
