Montague Burton Accommodation Uni of Leeds

Hi! I’ve been trying really hard to figure out what my accommodation/ room is for Montague Burton in Leeds. From what I understand I have found 4 other flatmates so far, and we all have similar room numbers so it does work out. However we have our doubts about whether we actually have it right or not.

My number stated MB J2.16 on the contract

so we all assume that means montague burton, block J, flat 2 and room 16.

however on one of my other pages it showed as MB J2. 16-1

and no one can explain what the ‘-1’ means. do i just ignore it considering the contract i signed said just 16?

also are we right in assuming the way the numbers and letters work? is it a 9 person flat?

i think that it might be block J, floor 2, flat 16 and then room 1? it would make more sense than for there to be 16 rooms for one flat lol

I was at Montague Burton last year, Its Block J, Floor 2, Flat 1, Room 6. You can ignore the -1, its some internal thing for type of room I think.

There are only 9 and 4 person flats, so if you are in room 6, it will be a 9 person flat
