Hey!! anyone else staying at norton court accom for ntu? worried im going to be too far out and the road to get to the accom is a little dodgy, anyone else??

that was my worry aswell! i’m also quite a going out person and i’m nervous that coz it’s so far out no one else will really be having nights out. What flat are you in? or shoot me a message

Hi guys! although I don't live in Norton Court, I do live in private city accom and I just wanted to say a few things if you're unfamiliar with that area of Nottingham:

-Norton Court is between Lenton and Hyson Green which are very student-inhabited areas, it will be lively!
-You're only a 20 minute walk from city centre, alternatively the bus routes are very good (and busses run late into the night) and there is also a 10 minute walk to the tram stop in Hyson Green which runs into city centre and towards City and Clifton campuses.
-Nottingham nightlife is great, and the city has purple flag status for its promotion and work of safe nightlife. Getting to and from clubs/pubs isn't scary as there's lots of people out at night and police/community protection presence 🙂

Regardless of where you are, there is good transport links to and from nightlife in the centre. As regards to worries about whether nobody will go on nights out, I lived on clifton campus for my first year and there were loads of students making 30-minute commutes into city centre just for the nightlife. Don't worry! You'll have a great time 😁
