What’s the email to contact the history department?

Does anyone know when we might be hearing back from the history department in regards to what first year modules we've been successfully selected for???

Hey, has anyone heard anything about what modules they are doing? I got the email about selection on the first, and submitted my form on the third. The email said they would upload our choices onto banner by the 19th, but I've not seen anything on there, and I've not had any more emails from History Dept. What has anyone else heard?

If anyone receives confirmation of their first year BA History modules I think we'd all be very grateful if they could kindly let us know on here.

It's only once we know our modules that we can start the serious reading.

I've been approved for my one non-History module, but other than that it's radio silence. It's a bit worrying, considering that I arrive in literally 4 days...

Thanks for the update eurotasking. Hopefully we'll start to hear back in the next couple of days.

Best of luck with your trip.

So nobody's actually had a history module confirmed?

Thank you to everyone who's replied so far. I'm a little less worried now I know i'm not the only one, and it's not something i haven't done/have done wrong, and that we're all in the same boat. Hopefully we'll hear either today or tomorrow, and I hope you all get the modules you wanted

I received an email this morning saying that the deadline for history module registration is now extended to 5pm, Wednesday 24 September.

Seems like we're not going to know what we selected for until very late. With a probable record student intake this year I don't feel too optimistic about getting my first choice modules.

seems like a lot of us won't even know what we're studying until we get there smh

Hope you're enjoying your first few days at Durham eurotasking. Any early impressions?

My modules have now been registered onto the Banner Self Service. Received 3 out of 4 of my first choice module options so quite happy.

everyone’s very friendly and my accommodation is very comfortable. I’ll be honest I’m 50/50 impressed and unimpressed with the support I’ve seen so far - this Early Arrival Programme ironically doesn’t seem to have been designed as well as it could have been designed for autistic students, in my opinion, and my college hasn’t always been the best at communicating with us it seems. it’s quite quiet in the city right now - students absolutely DOMINATE the place during term time. but at the moment it’s chill and i feel comfortable and not overstimulated walking around. I like all the work spaces in the Bill Bryson Library, but it’ll take me a while to learn how to navigate it. All the history dept. buildings look quite nice, and I’m getting better and better at navigating them alone.
sorry that’s a lot of stuff, very stream of consciousness, just various thoughts and feelings I’ve had after 2 days here
