UCV Dentistry

Hey guys! I'm applying to UCV Dentistry 2026 and have a few questions about the application procedure.
Can you apply directly to UCV because I haven't found much info on that, or do I have to apply through GDC/AStarFuture?
Also, when do applications open exactly (beginning or mid-September)?
Thanks!

You can apply via either company. I would recommend going through GDC(that's what I did) as the admissions process is exclusively handled by them. They can also help you out with accommodation e.t.c. Not too sure when applications open as they don't have any deadlines or dates on their website, but it's advised that you apply early, so September may be ok. Just email them if you're not sure. I believe I applied in late November

I started September 2024, and applied in October of 2023. I did the interview and admissions test in December of the same year. I did the UCAT and would say that it's definitely a lot easier, however I would still suggest you prep for the test anyway, just in case.

Hi! How does the course compare to UK schools? When do you start on 'real' patients? Do you have to find your own patients (I've read somewhere that some EU universities require this) or are patients found for you? I'm very interested to know more as this year's UCAT deciles have thrown a curve ball into my YP's application process!

Hi can you describe what the admission test was like? Were the maths GSCE level? Was the test as a whole timed? What were the non verbal reasoning questions like and what was the psychoanalysis question like?
