Gap year decision

Hi,

I applied to study Computer Science for 2025 entry with predicted grades of A* A A in Maths, Physics, and Computer Science.

Despite these strong predictions, I only received two offer out of five (Saint Andrew’s , Durham, Sheffield, Lancaster, York) from Sheffield.

It appears that my personal statement and predicted grades was a key factor in the rejections, even though I initially believed it was strong.

Now that I've achieved A B B would I have a better chance of getting into a top university like Durham or Saint Andrew’s if I improve my personal statement, even though I didn't apply to those universities last year?

What are there usual entry requirement grades?
How would you improve your personal statement?
The UCAS website has a feature which shows the average grades of students accepted onto their courses if you would like to check this as well.
