UAL Defer

I am considering deferring my spot at UAL to the next academic year. I'm just worried that if my request is denied, I will lose my spot. Does anyone have any confirmation on what will happen if my request is denied? Will I still be able to attend this year?

Also, if I do defer, does anyone know how to go about that? I've been told to do it through my UAL Portal, but I cant find any other information there.

No you wont loose your current place.
Phone or email UAL and ask.

If your request to defer is denied, your original offer for this year should still stand, so you wouldn’t lose your place.

According to the UAL website, you can usually submit a deferral request through your applicant portal.
