Cardiff Uni accommodation for second year

Hi, can anyone give an idea of the safety of the area near Newport Road and Clifton Street eg. Stacey Road/Cyril Crescent. There are some flats available but mixed opinions - do a lot of students live here? Also any thoughts on CPS homes as a letting agent . Thanks. Moving here for a postgrad course

I'm not too sure about Clifton Street - but Newport Road is relatively popular among students I would say.

I would say thoughts on CPS Homes are also mixed! Some people have had really positive experiences, some less so - I think it just comes down to the property in itself, and to make sure you're happy with the condition of the property before signing anything. The Student Union provides a lot of helpful advice on housing - I recommend giving them a read. Student Advice (part of the Student Union), also provides a contract checking service, just so you get a second pair of eyes on your housing contract.
