Congratulations on your place at York! I'm sorry that you're not happy with the room you've been given, that's really frustrating.
As well as posting here, you could also join our 2025 Undergraduate Freshers' Facebook group, and post there to try and find someone to swap rooms with. When you join the group, you'll have to answer all four membership questions, otherwise your application will be declined. If it is declined, you can always apply again, but it’s better for everyone if it goes smoothly the first time! 😀
