Chromebook for Notes in Chemistry Lectures?

I am going to study Chemistry at Durham in September, and have some questions about what laptop I should take.
Would a Chromebook be a good laptop to use? I am concerned about access to software like ChemDraw. I will also have access to a more powerful laptop, I am just asking about a laptop to take along to lectures with me.
