Southwell hall- University of Nottingham
Does anyone know what the rooms look like in Southwell hall? The room on the uon website is different to the ones online. I know I’m on the second floor if that helps.
Also if anyone knows about the following things that would be great, I’ve heard mixed things about them:
-do the rooms all have fridges in
-is it quiet in the rooms/ are there quiet hours and are they enforced
-are there many events run by resx for this accom throughout the year
-is it worth bringing a bike if I’m studying on university park?
Any other tips on storage for this room would be appreciated.
I’m mainly worried about decorating my room but don’t know what too bring because I don’t know what it looks like.

Hi, I can't answer all your questions but when I visited on an open day in May 2025, the room we saw was the same as the one on the UON web site room video tour. It was optional to bring your own fridge for your room and, if you did so, it had to be brand new with receipt etc to pass electrical regs.
