Are netball teams at uni that hard?

At uni, if there are like 4 teams for netball (in BUCS), does that mean it’s unlikely for you to get in?

I don’t want to sound presumptive, but I didn’t get into any of the teams at all last year even though it was the only thing I was really interested in joining. I used to play for Manchester thunder and Leeds rhinos. The past two years i played for my local team only, but I don’t think my quality has decreased that much as to where I can’t even compete at a uni netball trial. For me the trial also felt really easy since so many people have never played before.

I heard that some people claim it’s really cliquey at uni so I feel like it could be to do with that (basically everyone on the teams are blonde). If it’s really that bad I’m not sure if I even want to trial again this year.

I know i’m probably being dramatic and my ego is hurt but it’s the only society I was looking forward to last year lol

Most people will be playing sport for fun - it isnt all about elite competition etc.
At the Freshers Fair in the first week at Uni, you will be able to meet/talk to the sports societies reps and they will be able to explain to you how the teams work at that Uni.
