Should I take a gap year or do a transfer biomed to med programme at ARU?

hi !
so I had to apply through clearing due to unexpected grades and I received an offer for a biomedicine course at ARU. However, they have a internal transfer programme that if you meet the requirements of the course (above 75% in chem module all year), lets you transfer to medicine after the first year.
Everyone is telling me that it's not worth it and to js take a gap year and resit, but I feel like I can push myself to reach the requirements and secure an interview, but I'm heeding everyones warning and i js really don't know what to do anymore

Don't fall for ARU internal transfer program only small number of people transferred so be careful when you choose this.

so i've heard ! do you know any more about it? Cus the website seems so intentionally vague 😭
I'm kind of in a situation where it would be best for me to leave the house due to circumstances, but I don't know if I can guarantee I'll get into medicine through the transfer programme. The only thing reassuring me is that I'll get another chance through GEM, but if I don't, I'm stuck with a degree that barely allows job vacancies
