Changing Degrees Uni of Sheffield

Hi, i’m headed to University of Sheffield in September to study joint honours English Literature and History however, I’m having second thoughts about my course.

I applied to Sheffield twice for both that and English Literature/Language joint honours, got an offer for both, and i’m thinking that i might prefer it to the one i accepted.
anyone got any information on it re: fees, process etc? I got in on results day to Sheffield so will already be there, and have been told that it’ll likely be easier since they’re in the same faculty but am honestly lost. thanks!

It is lovely to hear you are entering an English course, here at Sheffield (I did English Language & Linguistics). Try not to worry too much about swapping courses, as it is usually super easy. It is very common for people to switch courses within the first 3 weeks, especially when they are both under the same school, The School of English. So, I would not worry about that at all, as it will be possible.

In regards to when you can swap, it may be easier to wait until you are there and do it at the first opportunity they give you. However, I know that can be nerve wracking so if you would prefer to email them to see if they can do something sooner, here is the appropriate email address to use:
