Starting a business while at uni - anyone done this??
So I just finished my first year of uni studying mechanical engineering and have been seriously thinking of starting my own business while in uni. I’ve been researching ideas since before uni but never had the time to actually commit to it because of A levels. I’ve got 2 ideas I’m passionate about and I don’t think I’ll burn out. I just wanted to know if there was anyone who has done something similar and how their experience has been with it!
I’m really curious how you managed your time between uni and your business, any struggles/mistakes you came across, and if you saw success or what success looked like for you.

Hi there @soaring-armor ,
I know a few peers who have a side hustle and it is possible, some unis even encourage it and offer help (eg. grants, pop-ups, and market spaces). However this depends entirely how great you are at time management and how heavy your course work is at uni.
The workload may feel manageable in your first year, but the course content and weightage of your grades increase in your 2nd and 3rd year! Depending on what your business idea is, it takes time and resources to start and become profitable so be sure to do your research before starting.
