Canterbury Student Manor Studio Accom for First Year

I applied for a studio accom at canterbury student manor through crm students and just got it confirmed, but I also applied for an en suite room in Keynes just in case I didn’t get the studio. Now I’ve been confirmed for both but don’t know which one to pick. (The keynes one is 31 weeks where I have to move out in the easter holidays then move back in)

Hi,
I hope you are well!😊

Congratulations for securing your place at Kent!👏
What will you be studying? 🎓️

Choosing between different accommodations can be a tough task. Were you able to view each accommodation?

Perhaps it might be a good idea to create a pro/cons list of each in terms of:

Costs

Location- on campus versus off-campus. Think about how long it may take to commute /walk/bus ride in?

Are bathroom facilities shared? How many students share a kitchen?

How long the contracts last

Are bills included? What facilities or amenities are available? A free gym membership is included for first year students who live in Kent's campus accommodation and all utility bills and Wi-Fi are included. See more about this here.

Where would you see yourself feeling most at home? Where would you feel more comfortable? Would you be living with just Kent students, or other students too if you choose the non-campus accommodation?

Which accommodation would best suit your needs?

I hope this helps! 😊
I must admit I have not lived in campus accommodation, I commute to campus by car, so I do not have any experiences to share of living on campus. It really does come down to which accommodation best suits your needs.

Best wishes,
Josie
