Managing/braiding long hair

Hi!
I have been growing out my hair for the past 4.5 years now, and it is almost to my knees. I was wondering if anyone has advice on how to braid/style this kind of hair.

I do know how to French/dutch/celtic braid, however, my arms get so tired that I have to stop a quarter of half way through and then it gets messed up.

Also, don’t get me started on how the ends of my hair tangle while I am braiding. It seems like no matter how I comb/brush through, this always happens. 😒😐

Does anyone have these problems and how have you managed to get past them? Any thoughts or tips would be very helpful!!

Usually I would use pins or bands to help with this. My hair is straight and when it was almost as long as you describe yours it really took a long time to braid it. Russian style braids where the easiest and fastest. Sometimes I'd go for two braids but if I play basketball they'd go like Pippi's braids so I tied them together. I tried some more stylish things but only for events. Day to day I'd prefer something faster and easier, so Russian style was the best.
If you have more curly/wavy hair it won't work that well though.

Oh, and I also liked to go without any braid at all sometimes, especially school days when we had no PE lessons so it was mostly sitting so I didn't feel any need for a braid... just making sure I don't sit on my hair (because it hurts).
