Accommodation for PhD students - Dundee vs St Andrews

Hi!

I am an incoming PhD student at St Andrews and am debating my accommodation options. Being an international student, I have no idea which place would be the best for me.

A little background about me: I am used to big cities, enjoy parks, and safety is important. I don't need to go to university often, maybe once or twice a week (slightly more in the first few months, I suppose). The studio in Dundee comes with all bills included, while the St Andrews house does not - rent-wise, it is coming out to be the same. In Dundee, the property is located in the Greenmarket area.

I would be SO grateful for any advice!

Thanks!

Hi! I don’t really have any advice but I have a studio contract that I need someone to take over. It has great security but I’m just dropping out of uni so I can’t stay there anymore. Dm me if you’re interested ! I’m willing to pay for the first couple weeks of rent.
I was a St Andrews student and will say that living in Dundee, for me, was a much better experience, after living in St Andrews for my first year.
