LSE Resits?

Hello!

I could really use some advice. I had an offer from LSE for AAB (it wasn't contextual if that matters), but ended up with ABB this summer. I’ve already submitted extenuating circumstances (I’m a young carer for my mum, who has cancer, plus I’ve got ADHD) and even appealed, but I was only 2 marks off the A in one subject and didn’t get anywhere. I’ve also got an A in my EPQ.

My question is: if I reapply, would LSE let me just resit the one A-level I missed and then count my new grades together with the two I already have, or would they expect me to resit all three? I really, really don’t want to have to do them all again, especially with everything else going on. Has anyone had experience with this kind of situation at LSE?

It shouldn't be an issue to sit just the one A level, but call LSE admissions to check.

You're obviously resitting the B grade subject A-Level right? I wonder which A-Level's you achieved A grades in this year?

What is the B grade subject? 😧

Which degree course did you apply for at the LSE this year?

Because if it is Economics or Law then it is difficult to gain an offer as so many applicants apply. ☹️

Yeah, no, I'm gonna keep the A grade one lol. The course is Anthro and Law, and they have said they likely give me an offer next year anyway, tho im gonna call tomorrow and see what they say just in case. I'm gonna have to re-take either English Lit or maths, butI'mm stressing about which one I should. I genuinely feel like I don't have the mental bandwidth to do it rn, but who knows?

Maths is easier to get an A* grade especially with BicenMaths, TLMaths, ExamSolutions and HindsMaths, which are all on YouTube. 😉
