How do I confirm my attendance for student loan

So basically I start college on a HNC course next week and I have spoke to the college finance department and also lecturers as it says on the letter I may have to take it to registration but no one at the college knows and have said they don’t deal with saas or loans but on the letter it says they have to confirm my attendance but I’m unsure how they will do that or how slc will know that I have started. Do they just make the payments or do I need to do anything?.
